6 Fun Things to Do in Ontario

The majority of people who plan a trip to Canada choose to visit the West Coast. This is often because the West Coast is considered a tourist destination. However, while the West Coast of Canada is fantastic, there are also some other places in Canada worth visiting. One of these is Ontario.

Ontario is not only stunning, but it also has a lot to offer its visitors. There are many things to keep you busy, including over 250,000 lakes and Niagara Falls. And that’s not all. If you want to learn some fun things you can do while in Ontario, keep reading below. We’ve made a list of some of the best ones:

Go to a Festival

Each year, Ontario hosts several eccentric festivals. While many of them focus on locally grown fresh produce, such as the Wild Leek and the Maple Syrup Festival, others are slightly more out there. This includes the annual Collingwood Elvis Festival, which is held in late July.

Visit Niagara Falls

You can’t travel to Ontario without taking a trip to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is located just 1.5 hours away from Toronto, where Lake Erie meets Lake Ontario. The Falls comprises three separate parts – the Bridal Veil Falls, the American Falls and the Canadian Falls. This magnificent waterfall moves a whopping three-quarters of a million gallons of water each second over a 167-foot drop.

Try the Nightlife

Ontario has a very vibrant nightlife scene, with a range of options, from nightclubs, bars, and casinos, to amazing restaurants. It’s one of the most famous party cities in Canada, but if a quiet night in is more your thing, there are a number of online casinos worth trying too, including lots of new ones that you can try from Ontario.

Find the Red Apple

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids, then make sure you take a trip along highway 401. While travelling on this road, keep your eyes peeled for a giant apple. The Big Apple is a resting place for people travelling around the country.

If you choose to take a break here, you won’t be disappointed. There are lots of things to keep you and the kids busy. As well as checking out the giant apple, your kids can also spend time in the petting zoo or have a game of mini golf.

Climb Toronto’s CN Tower

Tourists can find Toronto’s CN Tower just a short drive from Ontario. The CN Tower is classed as one of the seven wonders of the modern world in modern society and is the tallest building in the Americas and the third tallest in the world.

While many people go to the CN Tower to enjoy food in one of its three dining spaces, this isn’t the only attraction available here. Tourists also have the opportunity to climb this impressive tower. As well as this, they can also take part in anedge walk. This is where the bravest of individuals get to take a hands-free walk around the top edge of the building.

Visit the Royal Ontario Museum

If you’re looking for an activity that is more relaxing than heart-racing, you might consider taking a trip to the Royal Ontario Museum. The Royal Ontario Museum is Canada’s largest museum. It not only houses 40 galleries dedicated to the natural world, but it also has over six million artifacts in its collection.

While Ontario is not considered a tourist place, it has a lot to offer its residents and tourists that venture there. As well as being one of the most photogenic parts of Canada, it also has a lot of fun things to do. If you’ve not been before, add Ontario to your list of places to visit.
