Oregon Health and Science University “OHSU” are actually a public institution with a large campus, with four campuses, including two medical schools, in Portland, Oregon. The institution was originally established in 1887 as the Portland Medical School and was later known as the Oregon University Medical School. The first school to be opened was named for Samuel C. O’Shaughnessy, a student of Dr. O’Shaughnessy.
