Actor Govinda tested positive for coronavirus and is currently in home quarantine. The actor said that he is under the supervision of a competent doctor.
He tested positive Sunday morning and urged everyone who was in contact with him recently to get tested.
Speaking to IANS about his health, Govinda said: “I have been testing myself and taking all necessary precautions to keep the coronavirus away. However, today I tested positive after mild symptoms. Everyone else at home tested negative. Sunita (wife) just recovered from Covid-19 a couple of weeks ago. “
Govinda added: “I am in home quarantine and under competent medical guidance. I ask everyone to follow all necessary precautions and to be careful. “
Earlier on Sunday, actor Akshay Kumar also informed fans of him that he tested positive for the virus.
The actor took to his Twitter account and wrote: “I want to inform everyone that, this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all protocols, I immediately isolated myself. I am in home quarantine and have sought the necessary medical attention. I would sincerely request all those who have contacted me to get tested and take care of themselves. Back in action very soon! “
